Psssh, what's up with that stuff. All colors and no pizzazz. I need to learn how to art backgrounds. Somehow.

Because it's a lot easier to work with stretchy and cute things then it is to work with normal human anatomy. After a while I started to stretch into human anatomy, sketching it secretly every so often. Turns out, working with stretchy horses gives you a better idea of how to create simple curves and circles!
Anyway, this has been my hobbyist method so far of slowly teaching myself how to... well, get anatomy down:

Stretchy pastel horses - Circles and Sticks - Simple body shapes - Simple tiny human sketches - (eventually) more anatomically correct humans & an understanding on other anatomical shapes, such as different animals

But yeah, just thought someone might want to see where I was going with all of this poni.
Most of all though, ponies are just fun and colorful and easier to express. Cartoon anatomy is the most fun and simple way to express emotion!

PS: Also, wow, I have almost 150 watchers? Thank you guys, a ton! I don't deserve the attention of all of you lovely folks. Seriously, it means a lot that my progress in the art world is being seen!

Hey guys, I'm really sorry about the inactivity here. I've been working on finals (aren't we all). I'll be back in January, though!

My first project that I hope to complete of many!

In dedication to Ari, my sweet Metajoker.

The A.R.I project is running from the 28th until the end of December (The 31st of December).
In this experimental project, I hope to raise awareness and interest in donating and the art of giving.

In exchange for my pony sketches and images, I will be asking for no more than for you to donate to your favorite charity AND/OR to spread awareness and interest in that charity. You could do anything from making a simple sketch representing that charity to a full blown image, or you could just donate if that tickles your fancy.

I may do requests this weekend. But it's not a promise.

I've been looking over my  OC's coat colors again, and I've been debating why I actually picked them.
Originally she was a lighter blue to represent the sky.
Now, the sky means a lot to me. Aside from all that "Aim for the sky" stuff, I just like the sky. I'm planning to save up and jump out of an airplane, and skydive, at least once. That kind of freedom you feel from just being in the open sky must be astounding.
Though, eventually, my OC's colors started to... darken a little. Maybe you noticed, maybe not.
They were darkening because I was just... sad. The blue turned from a blue of freedom and achievement to a blue of sadness and depression.
I decided to lay the color in the middle of the two colors eventually. Why? Because it just feels... right. A little mix of cynicisim and freedom. That sounds about right to me.

I'm such an oddball...

Must... update... jorunal...
